KOTAK

Starting from the arena Dream Band in 2004, 0Kotak born with one personnel Kahitna, Doddy, which acts as a producer. At that time, Doddy audition to form a new band format in Indonesia, which consists of drummer, guitarist, bassist, and vocalist.

Auditions are enough musicians to get a response from teenagers who want to try his luck in the music industry. A total of 400 people vocalist, 170 bassist, hundreds of guitarists, drummers and hundreds of stuffing the audition. After conducting auditions by considering a variety of assessment formats, elected two vocalists, two bassists, 3 guitarists, and 2 drummers. Young musicians chosen are then mixed again into two bands of the personnel Kotak four people and "Lima" the personnel of five people.
Kotak name means four sides and four corners that are united into building a box. It was described on four distinct but united in a single container of music.
Formation Kotak band when it's not like they are today. Kotak band formation was first filled by Cella (guitar), Ices (bass), Pare (vocals), and Posan (drums). They then released their first album titled "Kotak".
In 2007 Ices and Pare was decided to quit the band. Vacant position was then replaced by Tanti on vocals and Chua on bass. They then released their second album titled "Kotak Kedua" in 2009.
According to Tanti, he was awkward when I first joined the band. "The character inherent in the vocal Pare 0Kotak, I got confused going to follow its own character or just Pare. But, after often play together and practice, I finish to wear his own character," he said.

Despite success in current position, personnel Kotak hope that it has not been the culmination of their journey. There are many dreams that they want to achieve to exist in the music industry. At least they now have passed their first leap from dream band to real band.
